SENIOR GL ACCOUNTANT

Job Description

  • Act as a key GL team member of the assigned scope of countries while driving the resolution of complex queries and requests.
  • Guide the stakeholders (AR, AP, local organization, etc.) on accounting-related questions.
  • Deliver Month End Close procedures including Fixed Assets activities.
  • Calculate and post various journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll journals, etc. 
  • Deliver IFRS16 reporting of assigned entities.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations as assigned.
  • Prepare VAT reporting and any other assigned local Tax or Statistical reporting.
  • Assist with local Statutory Financial Statements preparation or own its preparation.
  • Assist with the annual audit process.
  • Investigate & analyze accounting ERP-related process flow issues following find it-fix it-solve its approach.
  • Analyze financial data and make recommendations for accounting issues & controls. 
  • Deliver service according to company policies and procedures.
  • With the team, ensure that our services are compliant, and always work on refining best practices and policies.
  • Perform and deliver high-quality work defined by relevant and agreed KPIs.
  • Implement initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the GL transaction processing.
  • Participate in the overall Continuous Improvement culture development.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Advanced accounting ERP process flow understanding (IFS preferred).
  • Understanding of Tax regulations & reporting.
  • Scandinavian languages are considered as an advantage.
  • Self-disciplined with ability to work with deadlines and accuracy. 
  • 3+ years of practical business experience in accounting operations (Service Center environment is an advantage).
  • Business proficient English both written and spoken.
