Job Description

As an SAP BI Data Engineer within Royal Unibrew, you are responsible for maintaining and developing the Data & Analytics Platform and the data flows to and from our digital products, in line with the strategy of Royal Unibrew.

Every day, you will focus on the smooth running and further automation of data operations, the maintenance and industrialization of models, and the development of existing or new information products. You do this together with the rest of the team, which consists of a product owner, Tech lead and Data Engineers. Your practical experience and specialist knowledge make you the right person to work with your team on data-driven working in the organization. In addition, you naturally focus on security, availability, integration and performance.

You will collaborate closely with Group Controlling to enhance the company's financial reports, while also working with stakeholders from various departments and the rest of the Group IT team You will report to the Data & Analytics Tech lead. The Data & Analytics team is part of the Commercial IT & Data team of Group IT. In terms of content, you can also count on coaching and support from other colleagues in the Group IT organization team.

Here's what you like to do:

  • SAP BI Development:  design, implement, and maintain SAP BI solutions, including comprehensive data modeling, ETL processes, reporting, and analytics that support our business strategies.
  • Requirement Analysis & Collaboration: work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional to gather, analyze, and translate complex requirements into efficient, scalable BI solutions.
  • Data Integration & Management: oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading processes into SAP BW, SAC and HANA environments. Ensure seamless integration with other BI platforms and systems.
  • Performance Optimization: monitor and optimize BI system performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency. Proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
  • User Support, Training & Documentation: provide expert-level support and training to end-users, enabling them to leverage SAP BI tools effectively. Maintain clear documentation of BI processes, technical designs, and user guides.
  • Continuous Improvement: stay abreast of the latest SAP BI trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations. As part of this role, you will work closely with the Microsoft Fabric platform and have the opportunity to learn related tools and products.

Requirements

Where will you end up?
Within Royal Unibrew you will be part of the Data & Analytics team which is part of the Commercial IT & Data team of the centralized Group IT organization. The team is in it’s current setting relative new and growing and currently consists of 7 employees. Together with the rest of the Commerce IT & Data team, you have the mission to make Royal Unibrew and especially the commercial functions within the company, data-driven. Your workplace is either located in Vilnius in our new office or in Denmark. Regular working from home is possible, with a 60/40 (office/home) ratio as a guideline.

Are you the Data Engineer we are looking for:
Solution-oriented, analytical, proactive, independent, communicative. These are keywords that describe you. But if you really want to succeed in the role, you have the following must-haves:

  • A completed Master's/HBO education preferably in the direction of Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics or similar technical field
  • Between 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer or BI consultant
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP BW and SAP HANA
  • Practical experience in SAP BW data warehousing, including developing Info Objects, Data Store Objects, InfoCubes and InfoSets
  • Experience working in agile teams and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (5-10 days per year) for project participation.
