R&D Manager

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chemistry and a deep understanding of construction processes and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new products and concepts for the Baltic market as well as to keep formulations of existing products up to date.
• Educate, advice and give technical support for sales personnel and customers.
• Provide information and know-how when writing technical documents, manuals, and instructions.
• Evaluate market situation and gather information about trends and competitive materials to develop products.
• Promote safety, sustainability and environmental issues regarding raw material selection and working methods.
• To define quality control procedures and determine limits for factory production.
• Support production with quality and raw-material related questions.
• Co-operation with authorities and official test institutes.

Formal

• A degree in chemistry (preferably in chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field).
• Experience in working with construction materials and product development.

Skills

• Wide knowledge of products, working methods and constructions.
• Deep knowledge about building regulations and application methods in building industry.
• Good oral and written English skills.
• Good communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team to develop innovative solutions.
