Lawyer (FinTech / Regulatory / Compliance)

Job Description

  • Advise clients on financial services regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Assess business models to identify the applicable scope of financial services regulation.
  • Prepare questionnaires and responses related to financial services regulation.
  • Develop and coordinate FinTech licensing packages (e.g. e-money institutions, payment institutions, and specialized banks) in collaboration with supervisory authorities.
  • Prepare and coordinate documentation with supervisory authorities regarding changes in management and shareholders of licensed financial institutions.
  • Assist clients with a variety of post-licensing issues, including compliance and regulatory change management.
  • Assist and advise clients during examinations by the Bank of Lithuania or other regulatory authorities.
  • Advise foreign entities on the provision of financial services in Lithuania, including the analysis of permitted and prohibited activities.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze regulatory developments in FinTech and financial services.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial services, financial institutions regulation, and market/industry best practices.
  • At least 2 years of legal experience in financial services regulation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
