IT Network System Engineer (all genders)

• You support and configure networks and firewall systems.
• You will also be responsible for the support and configuration of LAN, WAN, firewall systems and WLAN environments at DATAGROUP as well as remotely at our customers.
• ndYou will be responsible for network architecture and project management in the area of LAN / WAN / WLAN a network security.
• You ensure continuous and highly available operation.
• Troubleshooting and eliminating faults in network environments is also one of your tasks.
• You will also conduct error and root cause analysis in the network context.
• You are also the contact person in 2nd level support for questions in the network area.
• The creation of reports and documentation of network environments round off your area of responsibility.

• You have completed an apprenticeship (IT specialist (all genders)) or a bachelor's degree in computer science.
• You already gained several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks and experience in the areas of TCP/IP L2+L3 and VPN.
• You have good knowledge of Cisco LAN, WLAN, WAN infrastructure.
• You have knowledge of Cisco and/or HP components (routers, switches, VPN gateways).
• For automation, you must have knowledge of Ansible and Python and the use of APIs on network components.
• You have basic knowledge of network management tools (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, HP IMC and Network Nodemanager).
• Relevant IT certifications, e.g. Fortinet or Cisco (FCP, CCNA and CCNP) would be desirable.
• You speak business fluent English — both written and spoken. German language skills are desirable.
