Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Engineering Team of the Ignitis Renewables, where you’ll take care of the current workflows evaluation within the Engineering department, identify the opportunities for automation and enhancement. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Researching and utilizing industry-standard software and tools to create 3D models of upcoming projects (Wind, Solar, BESS)
  • Designing and implementing algorithms, software solutions, and other digital tools to boost operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, data analysts, and project developers, to integrate newly created and standardized processes for more efficient workflow
  • Identifying and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance various engineering processes, such as predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and automation
  • Providing training and support to team members on new digital tools and AI technologies to ensure effective adoption and utilization
  • Leading initiatives such as AI-focused Hackathons
  • Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve digital capabilities.

Qualifications

  • An academic degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field such as digital engineering, data science, computer science, or software engineering
  • Proven track record in implementing digital solutions and automation solutions, as well as hands-on experience with AI and machine learning frameworks
  • Proficiency in MS Office and programming languages (Python, Java, or C++)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of data science, cybersecurity principles and best practices, big data technologies and their application in engineering contexts
  • Great communication and presentation skills, analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
