Right now, we are looking for Data Scientist in our data analytics team who would strengthen TELIA capability to understand and serve our customers even better. I am Darius Lapienis and I am leading our Data management and analytics unit. We are a great team of like-minded professionals that I am really proud of them.
The Challenge
As a Data Scientist, you will play a vital role in a unique and inspiring journey towards achieving Data and Analytics excellence at Telia Lietuva. You will be a key person focused on leveraging our data using advanced analytics to create business value and making the complex look simple and easy to understand. You will be applying statistics, programming skills and analytics tools to understand, predict and bring our data to life.
Who are you?
You are independent with a strong drive. Still, you are a team player that appreciate an inclusive team environment. You have worked in a matrix structure with conflicting priorities with great energy to move forward. It is great if you understand our industry, how we work and our products. But hey, we are here to create something completely new.
- Has experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
- Loves to deliver value by finding new ways to employ data & analytics
- Academic degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
- Competence in Python and/or R
- Fluent in SQL
- Strong in statistics.
- Competence in SAS is a plus
- Competence in Spark/ SparklyR/ PySpark is a plus
- Background in telecom and mobile services is a plus
- You are happy working both collaboratively and individually

Working in this position you will receive a base salary starting at 2800 Eur (gross) plus annual bonuses depending on your competencies and your and Telia results. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefits package which includes:
