What you will do?

Credit and Risk Team Lead ensures that the underwriting quality meets the highest standards and continues to develop further. The role provides leadership and guidance by performing analysis concerning credit risk, examines the historical performance of Volvo Financial Services in Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), analyses the current structure and anticipate future risks. The Credit and Risk Team Lead processes and analyzes credit applications for leases and loans for commercial transportation and construction equipment.

Credit and Risk Team Lead role reports directly to the Managing Director Volvo Financial Services Baltics.

 

Main activities and core responsibilities:

  • Lead the credit and risk team, ensuring all activities align with Volvo Financial Services and Volvo Group policies.
  • Perform proactive credit monitoring and risk management at customer and portfolio levels.
  • Provide guidance on credit deal structures, balancing commercial requirements with credit policies.
  • Assess complex credit applications and ensure timely routing through credit committees.
  • Analyze credit applications and verify credit data consistency.
  • Interact with sales team to negotiate lease and loan structuring.
  • Manage credit application flow ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Support new campaigns/products/tools development with credit risk input.
  • Prepare key management reports and support senior management with risk reporting needs.
  • Drive continuous improvements in Credit & Risk processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit and risk management, lease or loan underwriting
  • Credit analyst working experience in commercial finance industry is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of lease and loan products, services, and procedures
  • Preferable previous experience working in an international and multi-cultural environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Lithuanian language and advanced level in English
