BIOMETHANE TRADING EXPERT (F/M/D)

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the professional, active, courageous division of Ignitis, where you’ll be focusing on developing and supplying sustainable products to our end clients. Joining this team, will open an opportunity to participate in European and national renewable gas markets, control a portfolio of renewable energy commodities, develop biomethane as a sustainable substitute for natural gas and much more. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:  

• Developing and coordinating trade and supply of Renewable Gas products; 
• Focusing on development and improvement of Renewable gas wholesale products;  
• Ensuring a profitable portfolio management of Biomethane trade and supply; 
• Concluding new BPA (Biomethane Purchase Agreements) with producers and consumers;
• Ensuring supply chain, mass balancing principles and performing ISCC license maintenance and audit compliance;  
• Reviewing and monitoring changing EU directives and legal implementations to the national law for the Renewable gas industry;
• Building relationships with stakeholders to promote, develop and manage internal progress of Renewable gas;  
• Ensuring detailed and accurate process documentation of import and export of Biomethane.

• University degree (Economy, Business management, Sustainability, Statistics would be advantage);  
• 3 years of successful experience in renewable energy sector as a trader/gas originator/sustainability advisor or other related role; 
• Knowledge of environmental commodities markets/ decarbonization products and supply processes; 
• English language – working proficiency;
• Ability to conceptualize and build long term solutions.

Would be an advantage: 

• Experience working with gas market or environmental commodities products.
