Duties
Serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Office of Defense Cooperation in Vilnius Lithuania. Reports directly to the Budget Analyst/Program Assistant. Manages the purchase, maintenance, replenishment and disposal of all Office's of Defense Cooperation property and office supplies. Serves as primary Golden Sentry Enhanced End Use Monitor Program Manager for the Office of Defense Cooperation, one of the Office's of Defense Cooperation most important programs.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of administrative work experience.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Expert knowledge of the general management, administration procedures, logistics operations and organization and functions of the office. Good understanding of local government environment and institutions including but not limited to Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior.
Two years of post-secondary education (university/college/vocational) are required.
LANGUAGE:
English level IV (fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
Lithuanian level IV (fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Individual must have excellent organizational and planning skills. Individual must have intimate knowledge of protocol and possess strong social skills to coordinate and socialize with U.S Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, Lithuanian Ministry of Defense and other international high-level representatives. Individual must have ability to gather pertinent information and aid in the development of various reports for submission and review by the Budget Analyst/Program Assistant. Must be able to prioritize work assignments and work independently. Familiarity with computer programs like MS Windows and MS Office to include Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher and Explorer. Category B Lithuania driver’s License (must have had driver’s license for a minimum of five years).
