Accounting Data Specialist

Job Description

Prepare and post journal entries for the month-end close process in Oracle.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation in Blackline, clearing accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Analyze large data sets, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions related to financial reporting and accounting processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Settlement operations, IT teams, Finance, GL accounting team) to ensure the accurate accounting of transactions and proper data flow.
Assist in internal and external audit processes, provide required documentation, and respond to audit queries.
Participate actively in process improvement initiatives and automation projects to enhance efficiency.
Support the integration of new systems and help streamline accounting-related data processes.

Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience with strong knowledge of credit/debit transactions.
Solid English language skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Ability to analyze and handle large volumes of data in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, quick-learning attitude.
Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus.
Hands-on experience working with big data, databases, and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime, Python, Excel Macros) is an advantage.
