HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST (F/M/D) I IGNITIS RENEWABLES

Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Quality, Health, Safety and Security Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be taking care of business projects (Operational & Maintenance, Construction, Wind & Solar Parks) across Lithuania, Poland and Latvia. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Maintaining compliance, business risk management and business HSSE policies, including occupational safety and health, environmental protection policies
  • Visiting different business projects (Operational & Maintenance, Construction, Wind & Solar Parks) across Lithuania, Poland and Latvia to ensure that site rules are being adhered and followed
  • Keeping the communication and mentoring the contractors and site (own) personnel to ensure company standards are implemented, followed
  • Continuously assessing the risks related to the activities of the company, coordinate the implementation of risk management measures and enforce preventative measures
  • Being responsible for Induction, Occupational health and other assessments to the regional employees
  • Preparing reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to direct management
  • Working closely with colleagues from Ignitis Group to share the best practices. 

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, NCRQ, Poland – OSH and etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in health and safety position in the field of prevention, risk management and /or compliance. Work experience in construction would be considered as an advantage
  • Demonstrable knowledge of European QHSSE legislation, standards and systems
  • Strong leadership skills, proactivity, no fear of heights (to climb the wind turbines) and willingness to travel and stay overnight on regular basis
  • Skills in IT and have excellent communication skills in English
  • Formal Construction Safety Coordinator qualification. If no, training will be provided.
