QUANTITATIVE TRADING ANALYST (F/M/D)

We are looking for a colleague, who would join our short-term energy trading team of professionals responsible for trading electricity on the spot market. You will have ample opportunities to contribute new quantitative trading ideas and work towards their implementation together with the team. The team includes traders, quantitative analysts, and risk managers who work together to make informed decisions about trading electricity based on data and statistical models.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• To contribute towards developing new quantitative trading strategies, build and validate statistical models to forecast power generation and consumption.
• To support the power trading team with data extraction and transformation tasks from various sources.
• To support the power trading team with quantitative analysis projects.
• To prepare power trading reports and reporting tools.

• Have a university degree (Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer science, Physics or a closely related field).
• Have practical experience with one or more of the following: Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn), SQL, C#, Julia. Code versioning using Git and workflow management tools like Apache Airflow (advantage).
• Sound knowledge of statistics and statistical modelling methods like regression, decision trees, boosting, bagging, etc. (advantage).
• Understand electricity energy markets (advantage).
• Are proactive, responsible, collaborative and attentive to details.
• Are eager to learn new coding skills and energy market specifics.
• Have great communication skills in English (writing and speaking).
